Had him for several undergrad classes from 2009-2011. Great professor but lots of reading.
Great but lots of work | |
Great course in urban geography. Gramenos knows the field like nobody's business and he brings the grad students into the discussion on a very mature level. Seriously, I have converted to an urban geographer. This is a great course and a phenomenal prof..
This is easily the great prof. on campus. his seminar on urban geography is excellent and I am always excited to go to class. Lots of reading and serious writing projects. He is erudite and charming to a fault. His down to earth personality belies his intensity. Take him seriously and you will be better for it.
Totally useless as a graduate advisor. great luck doing anything he doesn't agree with. I'm sure he's great at the undergrad level.
This guy knows his things and really pushes all of the jargon on you. On the down side, he kicks out entirely too much reading material and unimpartially expects you to have read it simultaneously. im 50/50 on taking another class of his.

Excellent course and excellent teacher. I wish it was a regular semester course instead of summer. But I learned sooo much! Really exciting actually.
Grammenos is simple going but also intense. It's what makes him such a great prof.. Very intelligent and very understanding. Tops!
By far, one of the brighexam and great. Mr. Grammenos doesn't just teach useless facts, he truly educates. He is by far one of the smarexam people I have ever met. It is refreshing to actually learn something in college. The information he presents is almost always controversial, but he is open to alternative views and is an excellent teacher.
I am taking a developing world course with Grammenos. The course is truly excellent all the way around. I am actually excited to go to class and to do the readings. You have a strong recommendation from me: TAKE THIS PREFESSOR!
The great teacher! This is a course in Third World. Take his courses! He is full of energy and very knowledgeable. Just great!
Great urban planning seminar. Very stimulating and rewarding discussions. This course has made up my mind to go into urban planning as a career. There is no better prof. than Grammenos in my experience. He is very knowledgeable and committed to students. Just excellent!
I took his class in the Fall 2009, and he is an very great teacher. His class is thought provoking, any students that pay attention will learn something. He has a way of opening up so called truths, a truly excellent teacher
Converted me to a geography major, one gen-ed world geography course and I was hooked. I've taken every class he's taught on an undergraduate level since. Even though my training has taken me back into the fine arts, the tutelage he has given provided the foundation for the development of a visual philosophy toward sculpture and public art.
Dr. G. is on sabetical now but I took the environment and urbanization course last year. It was a fantastic course. Too bad he doesn't get to teach too many courses. I would totally take another course with him.
I really liked this class and especially Dr. Gramenas. He is very caring and interested in the students. Down to earth and very knowlegable. He likes to help students understand. I will take more courses with this profesor. |
